Chloe - Rachel Erickson of Citrus and Mint Designs

When I was 11 years old, my dad was away on a business trip when my grandma called saying her friend had black lab puppies. My mom had us all hop in the car and drive to Oregon to pick one up, all before my dad could talk us out of it.

 Chloe was my first and first true friend. She comforted me when I was sad or anxious and would sleep on my bed to keep the nightmares away. She could also be very sneaky and wild (she broke my arm — story for another day), but I loved her so much.

She passed away from cancer during finals a few days before I came home for Christmas to say goodbye. I was so heartbroken that I vowed to never get another dog so I wouldn’t have to feel that pain. As it turns out, I couldn’t stay away from that unconditional love forever. Now I have Luna, and she fills the void when I am sick, or sad, or anxious. She is joy and light like the colors and patterns in this collection. The Chloe collection is life through a dog’s eyes--always having the best day
